This is the Dan Porter Motors & Toyota Truck PRCA rodeo. The rodeos performances will start @ 6:30 pm on all 3 nights along with a special entertainment by: "Whiplash~the Cowboy Monkey & Lil Rowdy Bulls". June 28th is Rodeo Fan Appreciation night, June 29th is Kid's night with all children under the age of 12 getting in free when accompanied by an adult and June 30th is the "Tough Enough to Wear Pink Night". The Dickinson Convention & Visitors Bureau announces this event as a State Championship & it is the official Signature Event. Mort Krieg, event organizer, has been involved with the Kansas City Barbeque Society and became interested in developing a ND state competition. He is partnering with the Dickinson Volunteer Fire Dept. for this event. Governor John Hoeven has issued a proclamation designating the event as an official KCBS Sanctioned State Championship Barbeque Contest, for the State of North Dakota, allowing teams to compete for the Jack Daniels World Championship Invitational Barbeque.
